Wines of the Month

The US West Coast offers a range of climates and terroirs that produce a variety of wines extending well beyond the Napa Valley standards.
These wines have been chosen by Keith Truelove, chair of the Club’s Wine & Beverage Committee. If you purchase at least three bottles of any combination of his recommended trio, you’ll receive a 10 percent discount.
The wines are also available through the Club’s online Wine Shop.
- 2023 Forager Pinot Noir
“Let’s start with the 2023 Forager Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Forager’s low-intervention approach to winemaking—grapes are harvested and sorted by hand—provides a sense of delicacy with a fresh, floral nose that leads into a mouthful of ripe red fruit, fresh acidity and a touch of minerality. A great wine on its own or paired with lighter dishes.”
¥4,500 - 2021 Bonny Doon Le Cigare Volant
“Looking for something that carries a bit more weight? Try the 2021 Bonny Doon Le Cigare Volant from the Central Coast American Viticultural Area. A favorite from my younger days in the US, I was pleasantly surprised to find it in The Cellar. This classic southern Rhône blend dominated by Grenache and Syrah offers spice, dark fruit and licorice, with a firm body and tannins.”
¥3,300 - 2020 Bogle Vineyards Phantom
“Aged in American oak, the Petite Sirah and Zinfandel in Bogle’s 2020 Phantom offers a deep ruby red and lush texture that complements any robust main course. The smooth tannins underlie a velvety wine with jammy fruit, pepper and baking spices.”
