The Club releases its first-ever, exclusively produced American whiskey with a tasting at The Cellar.
Crafted by Westland Distillery in Seattle, Washington, the single malt was matured in American oak and Madeira wine casks for a total of seven years.
Drop by The Cellar to sample the smooth whiskey, chat with Rémy Cointreau Japan’s Kenji Horie and purchase one of the 240 bottles (available for ¥14,000 each).
James Littlewood, Wine & Beverage Committee member and whiskey enthusiast, put the whiskey to a taste-bud challenge.
“It’s fantastic that one of the very first American malt whiskies is this well done, and the Club has its own special-edition cask,” he says. “Along with the good color and a light smokiness are cedar and chocolate on the nose and flavors of roasted almonds and sweet fruit.”
The whiskey is also available by the glass in selected Club restaurants.
