Dear Member,
In accordance with the ongoing state of emergency declared by the Japanese government, the Club continues to remain closed until further notice. We are grateful for the understanding our Membership has shown during these difficult times, and we ask for your continued cooperation as the Board of Governors continues to monitor the situation in Tokyo and beyond over the days and weeks to come.
Though the Club may be closed for the time being, we have taken steps to recreate, at least in part, some of the services and amenities our Members have come to depend on. Launched just last week, the Feasts to Go delivery and pickup food service has already proved very popular, with nearly 250 orders placed from the Club’s new comfort food menu. Our online Wine Shop has also received an overwhelmingly positive response with over 300 bottles of wine, beer and spirits ordered from the Club’s collection of adult beverages.
Members who enjoy more active pursuits have also been making great use of our ever-expanding fitness videos at the Club’s official YouTube channel. Featuring lessons led by our most popular trainers and instructors, these at-home workouts have already been viewed nearly 4,000 times by Members looking to stay fit from the comfort of their living rooms.
Over the coming days, content from Club chefs, Spa therapists and more is set to be uploaded for all Members to enjoy.
The Club also recognizes that this can be a particularly difficult time for families with young children who depend on the Club for much-needed recreation and entertainment. In response, the Library’s regular storytime sessions are now available as online readings performed by the Club’s expert storytellers.
Of course, Members young and old can also stay informed and engaged with the Club’s global selection of magazines through PressReader, a curated selection of digital titles and audiobooks via OverDrive and the Club's collection of more than 20,000 physical books, periodicals and DVDs with the Club’s new Drive-Thru Library service.
For a full and regularly updating list of ways to experience the Club from the comfort and safety of your home, please be sure to check the My Club at Home webpage. As always, be sure to also visit the Club FAQ and Keeping Your Club Safe page for the latest news and developments.
We know that these may be small measures at a time when so many are making difficult sacrifices to stay safe. However, the Board of Governors hopes that you and your family can find some manner of comfort from these digital and on-demand offerings until we can welcome you back in person at the Club.
Stay safe.
