With Tokyo's state of emergency no longer in effect, the Club is currently preparing to reopen select venues and services from June 1.

Latest Updates

May 26: Following the Japanese government's lifting of Tokyo's state of emergency, the Club prepares to reopen select venues and services from June 1.

May 13: Virtual one-on-one classes and virtual workouts with personal trainers are launched. 

May 6: Following the Japanese government's extension of the state of emergency through May 31, the Board of Governors decides to extend the temporary closure of the Club until the end of May.

April 21: The Club extends access to the Library's more than 20,000 books, periodicals and DVDs with its Drive-Thru Library service.

April 12: The Club launches its Feasts to Go delivery and pickup service.

April 11: The Club launches the first in a series of My Club at Home videos through its YouTube channel.

April 7: Following the Japanese government's state-of-emergency declaration in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Board of Governors decides to close the Club until further notice.

Members are encouraged to follow the advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wear a cloth face covering (when masks are in short supply) in public settings where other social-distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
