Summer Reading Challenge

Warm summer days are here, and it's time to fill the shelves with your favorite reads.

In the Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge, Club kids turn into little librarians and curate their own personal library.

Get Your Pens Ready:

  • Pick up a reading log from the Library and choose a shelf on the bulletin board to call your own.
  • For every book you read, fill out an entry in your reading log. Include the book's title and author, along with a brief review. With each review, you'll earn a sticker to personalize your log.
  • After every 5 picture books or 1 chapter book you review, you'll receive a handmade book “spine” to add to your personal shelf.
  • Each completed book spine added to your personal shelf will also earn you a prize from the Library’s own gachapon “machine” or prize box.
  • After filling up your shelf with 10 book spines, claim the grand prize of a voucher for an ice cream or chocolate milk from Rainbow Café.

And don’t forget to take a “shelfie” with your completed collection, bookworms!
