Introduction to Aikido

Girls and boys ages 5–12 are welcome to come and learn a bit about Aikido by trying a class, throwing the teachers around and having some fun.

In this introductory session to the Japanese martial art students focus on working together with their partners (not opponents) so that both can improve.

Physical size or strength are not needed to do the techniques well.

The Club’s Aikido for Kids classes began in 1999 and are taught by professional instructors from Pacific Aikido, an official group of the Aikikai World Headquarters.
