Yukata 101: Step into Summer Style the Japanese Way (Series)

Discover how to wear a yukata for perfect fit and fashion.


Through this workshop series, you’ll start from scratch and progress to being able to confidently wear a yukata by the summer. Participants will learn practical techniques in an engaging and supportive environment, and photos will be taken at the end of each lesson to mark their progress. It’s an ideal opportunity to discover the traditions behind a time-honored Japanese garment.

Instructor
Satomi Lemkuil has seven years’ experience studying under Sumi Sasajima, a renowned kimono dressing expert. She is qualified to teach the patented Sasajima Method of bone structure kimono dressing and has provided yukata dressing services for a wide range of events and organizations.
