Tea Ceremony Experience

Explore a classic piece of traditional Japanese culture at an afternoon workshop at the Club.

Students will learn the history, etiquette and rituals behind the centuries-old practice of sado (also known as chado) while trying their hand at making a bowl of matcha with such utensils as a chasen whisk.

While enjoying their cup of matcha with a seasonal Japanese sweet, students will discover how the tea ceremony is linked with the ancient philosophy of Zen.

Instructor

She completed her MBA in the UK before building a career in marketing. She now uses her language skills to introduce tea ceremony and Japanese culture to visitors from overseas.
