Salvation Army Charity Drive

Make spring cleaning more than just a home makeover this year.

Donate your lightly used items through Connections to support the Salvation Army and other Tokyo-based groups (see below) committed to fresh starts.

Your old clothes and household items will go to the Salvation Army’s charity bazaar that helps funnel much-needed funds into supporting Ashitaba Child and Family Support Center in Hiroshima.

That suit you’ve outgrown?

It could be the key to equipping someone for success, assisting those on their journey to reintegration in society, including the homeless, ex-offenders and refugees, with essential business attire for work.

This May, let spring cleaning pave the way for new beginnings in the community.

Eligible Donations

• Clean clothes (no underwear or socks)
• Shoes
• Gently used household items
• Non-perishable food

Ineligible Donations

• Bulky items (baby chairs, baby strollers)
• Scratched, stained, frayed or damaged items
• Health appliances
• Used bedding, nightclothes or underwear
• Electrical appliances more than 7 years old

• Ryozenkai Rehabilitation Facility (for female ex-convicts)
