Fitball

Spice up your workout regimen with an hour of exercise ball-based training.

What will I learn in this class?
Find out why a fitball is a great exercise tool that offers another dimension of workout possibilities. Also known as a balance ball or therapy ball, this large, inflatable ball is used for stretching, core-strengthening and endurance exercises. Since some exercises focus on improving students’ balance, this class provides a low-impact way to elevate your heartrate—all while enjoying the sensation of bouncing on a ball! Open to all fitness levels.

What are the benefits of this class?
Long used by physical therapists, the fitball is a well-tested tool for building a stronger core, improving posture and eliminating common ailments like lower-back pain. In turn, each workout—particularly in a group setting—can help improve participants’ mental well-being.

Who will teach this class?
Kanako Nakai (pictured) is a Japan G-Ball Association-certified fitball master trainer who has been teaching fitball classes for more than 12 years. She is also a certified Strong Nation instructor and a qualified personal trainer.
