What will the students learn in this class?
Students first learn dojo etiquette and the importance of self-control when practicing alongside partners (not opponents). Through structured drills, guidance and games, students learn important physical skills and how to work well with others.
What are the benefits of this class?
Children experience a Japanese martial art in a safe environment of fun and discipline designed to help them improve. Students develop self-confidence, agility and overall fitness while picking up the fundamentals of aikido.
Who will teach this class?
Paul Neuman (pictured) is the founder and chief instructor of Pacific Aikido and a sixth-degree black belt. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he has been teaching aikido to adults and children since 1991. As part of Pacific Aikido, the Club's aikido group is a registered dojo of the Aikikai Foundation-Aikido World Headquarters.
