Winter Reading Challenge

Calling all detectives!

In the Library's annual Winter Reading Challenge, teams Private Eye Penguins and Inspector Polar Bears are on a mission to uncover the grand mystery of the missing Book of Magic from Hal Robert Mansion.

Get your detective gear ready and use your reading prowess to crack the case!

How to play:

  • Pick up a reading log from the Library and select your team (Penguin or Polar Bear).
  • Read for just 30 minutes, five times, to complete one log (that’s only 2.5 hours of reading!). Visual readers can finish 10 picture books or graphic novels to complete their log.
  • For each completed reading log, help your team search for clues on the library bulletin board and add to your trusty case file.
  • Each completed log also earns you a prize from the Library’s own gachapon “machine” or a free book.
  • After 10 completed logs, claim a grand prize of a voucher for an ice cream or a chocolate milk from Rainbow Café.
