What will I learn in this class?
Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga in which poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. Students will learn breath control, using it to guide them through the movement, and find how to ease into traditional postures that build strength, balance and flexibility. The session ends on a calming note, which brings the students into a peaceful, meditative state.

What are the benefits of this class?
This “breath-synchronized” practice has physical, mental and emotional benefits. Physically, the movement builds inner heat and improves range of mobility. As they move through seamless sequences, students often experience heightened concentration and a profound sense of clarity. Meanwhile, the steady cycle of inhales and exhales cultivates inner peace, reduces stress and promotes a deep connection to oneself. Through regular practice, students will discover renewed energy and an enduring sense of well-being that enriches their daily lives.


Who will teach this class?
Emi Smith (pictured) began her yoga journey over 20 years ago and has been teaching since 2014. She holds a 500-hour Advanced Teacher Training certification from Yoga Alliance and specializes in Ishta Yoga’s individualized approach, integrating hatha, tantra, and Ayurveda.

Her teaching philosophy encourages students to explore their personal edges while cultivating strength, flexibility and inner balance. Through mindful movement and conscious breathwork, Smith’s Vinyasa flow classes become a moving meditation, helping students deepen their bodily awareness and mental clarity.

Cancellations

  • To cancel a booking, Members must contact the Recreation Desk at least 24 hours before the class.
  • Members who fail to cancel at least 24 hours before their class will be charged ¥1,320.
  • No-shows will be charged ¥1,320.
