Guided by a Muromachi Bar pro, Members will mix Maker's Mark bourbon, simple syrup and Angostura bitters to make the time-honored libation that is the old fashioned.

Although its exact origins remain up for debate, the old fashioned was being made in the United States by the middle of the 19th century, and is now an item that should be a part of any bartender's arsenal.

Hosted on the final Tuesday of each month at the Nihonbashi Club’s centerpiece bar, each Cocktail Hour features a different concoction.

After mastering the techniques of a mixologist, Members will receive the recipe so they can hone their bartending skills at home.
