Kids’ Summer Swim Program: Stroke Technique Level

Proficient swimmers learn how to build up speed and bolster their natural swimming abilities.


What will I learn in this program?
The Sky Pool's summer group programs are structured to accommodate various ages and levels. Lesson goals range from developing water confidence and honing basic swimming skills to developing stroke technique.

What are the benefits of this program?
Classes are arranged in compact, two-week sets to ensure steady development as students move through the various levels of the overall Sky Pool program.

This level will focus on kick work, proper body position and drills to bolster natural swimming abilities. At the end of this course, swimmers will be able to increase their speed, maintain a correct and stable body position in all strokes and pass the test set for the swim team (Level 5).

Who will teach this class?
The Sky Pool's team of professional swim instructors and coaches guide participants through these unique lessons.

Requirements
Swimmers must be able to swim 25m freestyle with lateral breathing, 25m backstroke and 25m breaststroke with a well-formed frog kick. Swimmers will need to pass a test set at their try-out.

  • Mon–Thu (4 days)
  • 4:45–5:30pm (45 mins)
  • Session 2: Jul 22–Aug 1
  • Session 3: Aug 5–15* (no class on Aug 12)
