Places to Party

Places to Party

The combination of eye-catching spaces and professional planning ensures event success at the Club.

Milestone moments. End-of-year blowouts. High-tech corporate forums. Sophisticated soirées. Bowling birthday bashes. Fundraising gala balls. The Club hosts every type of occasion over the course of a year.

With around 2,000 private events staged annually at the Club, the planning, service and kitchen teams apply their expertise to a steady stream of meetings, parties and weddings, as well as seasonal celebrations, including summer barbecues, Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts, year-end bonenkai and New Year shinnenkai.

In the lull before the buildup to another holiday season, a handful of Members share their own tales of party success at the Club.

Steaks and Mojitos
Splash! Rooftop Terrace
Available between spring and fall, this outdoor patio on the Club’s fifth floor—with a Tokyo Tower backdrop—is the perfect spot to enjoy an American-style barbecue party with friends or colleagues.

“We are avid patrons of the Club and have had the pleasure of working with Mutsumi Sekiai and Chizuka Yamakita on many occasions. This year’s party was our firm’s third barbecue event and everyone had a wonderful time. Splash! had a pleasant breeze, which created a fabulous ambience for beer and mojitos. The staff, under the leadership of Teiji Kittaka, went out of their way to supply one of their best mojito bartenders, Merloy D’Souza. As July was a birthday month for our office, we celebrated with special desserts. We were looking forward to seeing Takanori Hayashi, who customarily makes his entrance with a birthday cake hat, but the hat went missing. Splash! is a fun and elegant place to host a barbecue party.”

Fun on the Lanes
Bowling Center
The stylish, six-lane bowling alley is a unique venue for friends or coworkers to enjoy a party with some lighthearted competition. An adjoining Party Room offers additional socializing space.

“I hosted a bowling party for 80 colleagues in the Bowling Center. Bowling was a great icebreaker and team-building activity for the whole company. And since it seems to be a very American phenomenon, it was a real treat for many Japanese colleagues to experience the Club in that way. Many said that bowling helped them meet colleagues whom they never would have met. Everyone also raved about the food, open bar and service they received. It is truly a one-of-a-kind experience in Tokyo.”

Grand Affairs
New York Ballroom
With its chic ceiling design and modern chandeliers, the 700-square-meter space can be used for large-scale gala events, conferences or product launches. It can also be subdivided into smaller rooms for more intimate parties or events.

“Over the past few years, we have hosted a fundraising gala with guest Japanese celebrity chefs at the Club. The Club’s event-planning team and chef Kazunari Tsubouchi’s kitchen team totally understand the concept of hosting outside chefs and provide high-quality support. The staff also understand that timing is key. They serve and clear plates without ever causing a distraction, which allows guests to focus on the stage. Our guests come from all over the world and expect high-quality service, which the Club delivers every time.”

Private and Exclusive
New York Bridge (CHOP Steakhouse)
The stylish, third-floor restaurant makes an elegant alternative to a conventional party venue, and The Terrace and New York Bridge—both with spectacular views—can be used individually or as part of a floor-wide event.

“CHOP is outstanding for business dinners because the staff make everything so easy. I can preorder the food and wine, and the staff just knows what to do. Then I can focus on the people I’m meeting and everything is perfect. I’ve also been impressed with how the team handles the rare hiccup. If there is a small issue, they take care of it with no problem. They are always working to make things better, and they are genuinely receptive to feedback. That means a lot and keeps me coming back.”

Tying the Knot
Whether it’s an intimate celebration or a lavish reception, the Club’s wedding organizers have the setting and plan to match the occasion and mood.

“We had been Members for a few months and after looking at other venues in Tokyo, we understood that on relatively short notice the Club would be able to take very good care of us and create the type of wedding experience we really wanted: intimate, full of family and joy, and with great food and wine. We had a secular ceremony and reception at the Club, and we really enjoyed the event. The staff was attentive and the food and wine were great.”
