The Club welcomes back four-time Frederick Harris Gallery exhibitor and internationally renowned printmaker Sumiko Okubo.
Raised in Japan and trained in Britain in modern printmaking techniques, Okubo has exhibited her eclectic works across Japan and Europe.
Her timely seasonal collection, titled “A Wish for the Harvest,” combines woodcuts, etchings, oils and more into what Okubo calls “a glorification of nature.”
“The cycle of nature, from harvest to withering to regrowth, reflects life itself,” she says.
On November 6, Okubo leads a reception for her exhibition, which runs through the 26.
