Iyengar yoga, an antidote for the stress that accumulates throughout your day-to-day life, emphasizes precision and alignment, and prioritizes quality of movement over quantity.
Learn to move with ease in your body while working within your limitations. Shape your body and find perfect alignment while using props and supports (such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and belts) to keep you at ease in each pose. The poses, appropriate for all levels, help improve strength, flexibility, circulation and digestion and lower blood pressure, all while soothing your mind.
Working through a sequence of simple to complex poses appropriate for all levels, this class will ensure that you receive the full benefits and effects of each pose. The restorative poses at the end of class will impart balance and soundness.
