Extend a helping hand to Tokyo’s homeless this Thanksgiving season.
With the coronavirus pandemic exacerbating an already challenging situation for those forced to live on the capital’s streets, the men’s shelter Sanyukai is accepting donations of food.
Contributions of rice, dried seaweed, tea, canned food, pickled umeboshi plums, dried furikake seasoning and emergency dried-food packs will help the nonprofit organization feed those in need, particularly during the approaching colder months.
Donations must be dropped off in plastic bags or boxes.
Those wishing to drop off a donation before November 13 should contact the Connections Office to arrange a date and time.
Connections is a longtime supporter of Sanyukai.
