Japanese Garden Walk: Kamakura Zen Garden

You don't need to go to Kyoto to appreciate Zen temples


What will I learn in this class?
Visit Zen temple gardens in eastern Kamakura, including Hokokuji, a temple renowned for its picturesque bamboo grove, and Jomyoji, where you'll enjoy an informal tea ceremony in the beautiful garden teahouse. You will learn about the history and key elements of the Zen gardens.

Who teaches this class?
Kazuko Morio is a member of the Garden Society of Japan and a licensed national guide-interpreter. She lectures and provides walking tours to Japanese gardens. Her clients include garden enthusiasts, international students and tour guides.
