Ikkanbari Basketmaking

Explore the Japanese folk art of ikkanbari basketmaking.

Using handmade bamboo baskets, apply several layers of washi paper and kakishibu lacquer made from persimmon tannin juice to enhance durability.

Baskets can also be designed with obi fabric, handles and clasps available for purchase from the instructor.
