Sumi-e Japanese Ink Painting

Japanese sumi-e is the traditional art of brush and ink painting.

In this class, students learn techniques for different brush strokes, first in black ink and then in color.

Create beautiful works for your home or as gifts while deepening your appreciation for Japan’s traditional arts.

Students also have the chance to exhibit their work at a New Year kakizome show.
