Keeping Your Club Safe: My Club at Home |

Dear Member,
In response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures, the Japanese government declared a state of emergency on April 7.
In response, the Tokyo government issued emergency measures requesting residents to remain at home for all but essential activities, and, on April 10, requested the closure of businesses in six categories:
· Entertainment facilities
· Universities and cram schools
· Athletic facilities
· Theaters
· Exhibition halls
· Commercial establishments
In doing our part for our Club and the wider community, the Board of Governors made the extraordinary decision to temporarily close Club facilities until further notice. While we recognize that this measure is an unfortunate inconvenience, the safety of all Members and staff is paramount.
Following the temporary closure of the Club, the Board has been working with Club management to find ways to continue to provide value to Members during these challenging times.
Over the weekend, we launched our Feasts to Go delivery and pickup food service, along with our online Wine Shop.
We also unveiled a series of My Club at Home fitness videos with Club instructors. This lineup will be expanded over the coming days and weeks.
And while the Library might be inaccessible right now, you can still enjoy hundreds of titles thanks to the Club’s partnership with the OverDrive e-book platform. Those without a Library account can simply e-mail library@tac-club.org to set up one.
Since we have received a number of questions related to the current situation from Members, we have put together an FAQ list to provide as much information as possible.
In the meantime, you can find regular updates on the Keeping Your Club Safe webpage.
Stay safe.
Michael Alfant
