Whether you’re a word-hungry bookworm or occasional reader, the Club's Hal Roberts Library offers fascinating substance to feed your mind and enrich your life. The shelves are stacked with more than 25,000 book titles in English, making the Library one of the most extensive collections catering to foreigners in Tokyo.

Selections range from classics, biographies and paperback novels to cookbooks, travel guides, manga comics and more. Children under8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Reading Room
Settle into a comfy chair with a magazine and a latte or enjoy uninterrupted concentration at the work stations and study tables in this quiet corner of the Library. The room also houses newspapers, magazines, nonfiction titles and reference books.


TumbleBooks for Kids
Simple storybooks come to life on this fun, interactive website. The online library features an abundance of electronic books for kids and lively animated picture books. Numerous foreign language books are available as well, along with audiobooks, puzzles, games and more. Stop by or e-mail the Library to get the login and password for unlimited access to the site.


Periodicals
Get your dose of daily news, stock quotes or celebrity gossip with10 English-language newspapers and 120 magazines on offer. Select magazines are also available for purchase.


Audiobooks
Churning through chapters on the go is a breeze with a selection of more than 550 audiobooks on CD. Simply upload titles to your computer, transfer them to a portable audio player and take them with you anywhere.


Requests & Reservations
Reserve a title by e-mailing or phoning the Library staff, and it will be set aside for you as soon as it is available. Members can also request new titles anytime. With about 100 books added to its collection each month, the Library makes considerable efforts to accommodate all requests and recommendations.


Internet
Members have easy access to e-mail, their favorite websites and the online catalog at the Library with 3 adult-designated and 2 kid-friendly computer stations.


Book Exchange
Restock your personal library by swapping old paperbacks for other titles, or snap up a bargain hardcover for ¥100 apiece or paperback for ¥50.
